(PRE)SUMMER INTENSIVE

Ages 11 - Up

Intermediate to Advanced levels

Dancers should have a minimum of two full years of ballet training, considering only years from age 8 and older. Students will take a level placement class on Sunday, May 24th to determine placement in one of three levels.

Dancers placed in the highest level will participate in a class and rehearsal schedule with responsibilities and opportunities similar to the Doxa Dance Ensemble which launches in the Fall of 2026. Participation in the intensive can meet the audition requirement for the ensemble. Those interested being considered for the ensemble should bring a hard-copy headshot and first arabesque photo (4x6 or 5x7) with them to the level placement class.

Students do not need to attend Doxa to participate. Those who meet the requirements above are welcome to attend this intensive.

LEVEL PLACEMENT | SUNDAY, MAY 24

• Check-in up to 30 minutes early:
  • 2:00 pm - ages 11-15
  • 3:30 pm - ages 16+

CLASSES & REHEARSALS | MONDAY-FRIDAY, MAY 25-29

• 10:00 am to 4:30 pm each day
• Devotional each morning
  
• Classes vary by level but include ballet, contemporary, pointe or pointe foundations, movement foundations or pilates, variations, choreography rehearsals
  
• Bring a sack lunch & a snack

SHOWCASE IN THE PARK | SATURDAY, MAY 30

• Dancers begin with class & final rehearsals at Doxa studios (10:00 am)
• Bring a sack lunch
• Performance at Sam Houston Park in the late afternoon or evening (time TBD)
• Parents of non-driving dancers will need to provide transportation to the performance site

DEPOSIT | $50

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due in order to reserve your spot. Register in the Parent Portal. Space is limited and spots will be reserved in the order in which deposits are paid.

TUITION | $400

• Total includes the registration deposit

**EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION**

Registrations received with the deposit by April 15th will receive a $50 discount off the remaining balance! Discounts will be applied to accounts by April 30th so as not to conflict with current season tuition due. Final intensive payments are due by the intensive placement class on May 24th.

The intensive will conclude with a free presentation open to the public on Saturday, May 30th (time TBD). Location is Sam Houston Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets!

This is a choreography-focused intensive. Students who are unable to participate in the showcase must discuss this with us prior to enrolling. If capacity proves to be an issue, preference will be given to students who are able to participate in the showcase performance.

Follow Doxa's hair and dress code with the exception of level color - students are allowed to wear leotards outside their level color specifications. All females should have a ballet skirt in case it is requested by our guest instructors. No loose jewelry and hair neatly secured as per regular Cultivate expectations. Dancers may need a nude leotard for the showcase.
